From 2006-2009 I took a BA(Hons) degree course in Interactive Media at the University of Wolverhampton, UK. This introduced me to a lot of new skills such as film editing, sound editing, Director development, 3D design and methods for idea generation, as well as building on my knowledge in Flash Development and Web Design.
In the final year I wrote an extended essay on Online Social Networking and created three educational programs primarly in Flash, which can be seen below. Each project has a video link, if you would like to try the programs themselves please
contact me.
Byteworld: An Internet Safety Adventure
Byteworld is an educational game designed to teach children aged 8-12 how to stay safe on the Internet. The program is developed in Flash, and I also used Swift 3D to create some 3D graphics. There are several video clips that I filmed and edited in Adobe Premiere.
Get Fit with Wolverhampton FC
Get Fit was a client based project with Wolverhampton Football club designed to teach children about health and fitness whilst also promoting the football club. Assets such as games and videos were provided for me to implement into the Flash-based program.
Counting and Time in Japanese
Counting and Time in Japanese is an educational software package created in Flash to teach users how to recognize, draw and speak numbers and times in Japanese. The program is compatible with touch screens and includes recorded Japanese speech.
